Buy either the old T-960 or newer T1060. No muddle.
Not unwavering I understand all the complaints about the T-1060 Titan disposal. I just got one as a replacement for my old T-960 and found the solemnization to be straightforward. The original installation of the T-960 was a bit more complicated than it had to be because I paid a plumber to replace my old Coerce, because the mount was completely different, and after this professional installation, the sink seal leaked on the Titan. Turns out (after reading the instructions) that the rubber gasket provided is only for SS sinks, not balance ones, which require the use of putty. Once putty was used, everything was OK with the T-960 installation and use. That is until a small tabloid metal screw found its way into the chamber and destroyed both impellers with a lot of vibration and noise followed by Draconian quietness.
Sheepishly I contacted Joneca by email, told them I had bought it a bit over a year ago and they said it was still under assurance, just send them a copy of the purchase and they would replace it--with a T-1060 for free! It arrived and installed with no question. It is even quieter than the old ¾ hp model and can eat almost any food based item you feed it. It has a 10 year pledge which I now know they will honor. Try that on any other brand.
The only things I don't like about it are the narrower neck, the larger span taken up under the sink (it is 1-1/4 hp), and the fact that it does seem as if the mounting pins supporting the item are a bit less substantial than used with my old Badger unit. For the money, however, I don't see how you can beat it for capabilities and warranty. Also desire it came with the plastic multi-tool plunger/stopper/strainer it shows on the box. That you have to buy from Amazon from Joneca, however, as a part company item.

Terrifying garbage disposal, don't buy!
I purchased this offal disposal from another retailer about a year ago. I installed it per the manufacturer's instructions and it eventually vibrated itself perverted and fell out of the sink while it was running creating a HUGE mess to clean up. I re-installed it and then this happened about two months later: I was game the disposal (with nothing really in it to grind up) and all of a sudden I hear this awful grinding noise and a elephantine chunk of metal from the blade inside comes flying out at my face at warp expedite! Thank God I have amazing reflexes and this thing didn't hit me in the eye! The piece of metal was so hot I couldn't even pick it up for a journal or so. Looking at it, it appears the blade inside completely rusted through and broke in half. I will be attempting to yield this for a refund. I do not recommend at all, I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Zero Stars
If there was an chance to select "zero stars" for this product, I would have done so.
We had installed (by a professional plumber) the SECOND Titan 1-1/4 HP food waste disposer. The impaired one did the same thing as the first--after just several usages, one of the blades came loose inside the disposer--it sounded like a spoon had fallen interior the disposer. It was grinding a lemon wedge when this happened.
Two times is enough--we won't purchase another Titan. Each instatement resulted in an expensive plumber fee. Please don't waste your money on this product.
Hope this review will save you the headaches we have endured with this consequence.

Mind of Titan disposers
The Titan T-960 that I purchased is a air of junk of unacceptably low quality. The T-1060 probably suffers from the same lack of quality. Every excellence shortcut that Chinese manufacturer could employ seems to have been used in this pile of garbage. Plastic is cast-off extensively instead of metal. This is a huge problem with the mounting pieces, since the threaded ersatz ring that secures it to the sink drain is poorly made, and skips over the threads it is supposed to crony with (and no, it wasn't cross-threaded). When I pushed the disposer up into position, the ring slid gone and forgotten all the threads and came off. On top of all the other flimsy pieces, that was the last straw. Without even plugging it in, I removed the unit and took it back to the supply. To make matters worse, the Titan specifications say the T-960 has the magnetic Silver Watch...It doesn't. I don't know if the T-1060 does or not, but you obviously can't believe Titan's literature.
Dissipate the extra money and get an Insinkerator. Don't waste your time and money on this thing.

Want I'd gotten an Insinkerator
Got this from another circumstances a couple years ago and just recently got it installed. I'm not very impressed. The grinding seems fine enough, and it's reasonably silent, but the splash guard is HORRIBLE! It's very stiff and has actually started to curl up at the tips, winning and holding back even the smallest bits of food. I hate it. As another commenter said, food won't go through it but silverware passes without even trying down. To get food through it you have to punch it through with the handle of a wooden utensil, which is really gross since the back side of the splash guard is submerged in funk so you just funked up the handle of the utensil. Also, it often slides out with the utensil when you pull it out, so you have to manoeuvre it to get it back in. Unfortunately, it is truly so bothersome, since we cook pretty much daily in this household, that I'll be pulling this out and replacing it with an Insinkerator speedily. Too bad, because but for that one MAJOR flaw it seems to work fine.

Wasted Waste Maid
I have had the T-960 for about 6 months now. It was a replacement - and the first disposal I've installed. Swearing-in was fairly straight forward and all parts were provided.
Pros - Cheap price; persuasive grinding action; quiet running, but it creates a lot of vibration rattles anything on or in the sink.
Cons - the disappear flange is chrome painted plastic and at 6 months looks cheap; the splash sentinel is designed poorly so that no food will fall through, but silverware easily does; food has to be forced through splash security with hands or you purchase a recommended Mr Scrappy device to push food past guard.
Nit picky remark - if they designed the splash guard to require a Mr sCrappy to push food past the guard - they should fund it as an accessory - otherwise you get to finger all your waste. I think you get what you pay for with this product.

I installed the T-960 without any problems, works mulct and is quiet. If this is a new install in a kitchen that previously did not have a disposer, I would highly recommend getting one of the egg on button air switches ( Mr. Scrappy/Waste Maid MSS-52) I plugged mine into the dishwasher outlet - made the install that much easier / neater.

Titan T-960 is a portion of junk
The Titan T-960 is a bawling-out of junk of unacceptably low quality. Every quality shortcut that the Chinese manufacturer could employ seems to have been reach-me-down in this pile of garbage. This is a huge muddle with the mounting pieces, since the threaded plastic ring that secures it to the sink drain is below par made, and skips over the threads it is supposed to mate with (and no, it wasn't cross-threaded). When I pushed the disposer up into put, the ring slid past all the threads and came off. On top of all the other flimsy pieces, that was the last straw. Without even plugging it in, I removed the entity and took it back to the store. To make matters worse, the Titan website says the T-960 has the attracting Silver Guard...It doesn't.
Spend the extra money and get an Insinkerator. Don't waste your time and spondulicks on this thing.

OK So Far
I got this to restore my t-rusty old Badger disposal when it gave up grinding, and I would say the Waste Maid is a bit noisier and drains more slowly. However the post was super-easy and it's been reliable so far!

A Pronounced Disposal
This is a precious glorious disposal. It is easy to install, quiet, and works well. We also got the remote switch to change installation easy and have been very happy with our disposal. I have yet to have a problem or jam with this disposal after nearly 6 months of weekly use. Coffee grinds, paltry chicken bones, onion skins, and bits of celery are no problems! This size is not too husky to take over the under-sink storage but is powerful enough to handle everything we can send its way. We have been very happy with this purchase and glad we did not go with ISE or the other brands. A wonderful product with an excellent value!

I have been using this system for over 1 year so recently I ordered a new replacement eliminate.
In the box:
A water filter and a replacement manual (1 piece of paper).
The replacement answer is quite simple:
1. (VERY IMPORTANT) Make sure the valve for the incoming water into the system is closed when you unplug the old run otherwise the water will come out immediately.
2. Follow the instructions on the manual. Basically unplug and commend...
Only thing I am not satisfied is that the manual talked about the "new filter would release a small amount of carbon fines during the first overspread" but with the replacement, my new filter didn't release ANY fines which made me worrying if the filter is working well. Also there is no way you can test the water quality for the new filter making me a bit worried when I drink the water as well. Other than that, the output is OK.
One last thing is the filter system actually includes 2 parts one of which is this product (the Vessel) and another one is an in-line polisher. The 2 parts are reputed to be changed once every year. You can buy 2 parts together for $169 (free shipping) from the official website of the P-RO system. If you buy in amazon, the bark sells for $139 and the polisher for $39 so you pay $178 as total.
