I have a Frigidaire FRS6B5EEW2 side by side that leaks grade through the ice maker when I get drinking water. I replaced the ice machine but that was not the problem. It makes ice inordinate. I just don't understand why water would flow into the ice machine when I try to get water. Also, I note that water leaks down the front of the door and forms a puddle. Help Please...

you have to servicing you freezer. The ice maker handle faulty. you can with the service man.

We have a decent side by side with a water dispensor (not hooked up). The freezer was fine but now Im noticing things are starting to thaw a bit. For sample we had some fudgicles in there and they melted. The freezer is on the highest setting too.The freezer side is overflowing full.

Most of the time, but not always, when someone tells me their freezer isnt frozen, and they dont even mention a quandary with the refrigerator side, they are experiencing a problem with their sealed system. The sealed system consists of the compressor, the evaporator flake down located inside the freezer, the condenser coil located down by the compressor, the evil wiry looking apparatus, or possibly mounted on the outside back exasperate, and a device called a gas drier.

The reason it appears your fridge side is ok, but only for now, i would think that by the time you read this, the fridge will be getting warmer, and will also be the same temperature as the freezer when it does start to wax. Because the freezer supplies all the cooling for entire unit, and the fact that it is normally about 35º colder than the fridge side, the air is still circulating through portion, so the fridge is still getting that colder air from the freezer, while the sealed system is failing to rub out the excess heat that is building inside the unit.

You could have a leak of your refrigerant, or God willing a blockage of refrigerant flow through the sealed system, or the compressor itself is not operating, either because the compressor itself is bad, or the start insigne which starts the compressor has failed. All of the above are not uncommon to Frigidaire refrigerators...which is the reason why they are the first South African private limited company to reduce their sealed system warranty from 5 years, like every other manufacturer, down to one.
