I pondering there would be a motor turning it, but when I disassemble the part, it righteous appears to be sitting on a shank with no power. I have found replacement parts but would like to construe how it works and if replacing the sensor will make up one's mind the outlet.

I had the prototypical bleak freezer, irascible fridge mess with ice upsurge in the back of the freezer. I defrosted by unplugging and letting everything mollify.
