Don't buy it
I've had this mic for upright over a year, and as with others, it just started turning on by itself this week. Fire hazard! Thank God I was home the first span it did it. It's 2.30am and it just woke me up by coming on again. Spooky to say the least, dangerous to say the most. I can't keep it plugged in anymore, and I counterfeit, based on others' experience that I'm reading online, that it is no longer safe and I will have to get rid of it. What a rip off.

Stopped working after a year
Ethical like with the previous reviewer, this microwave worked well until it didn't work at all. It started turning itself on and then the keypad stopped working. Since we had bought the ill fame with the microwave, we didn't have the info we needed to return it but on the instruction manual, the previous owner wrote that it was installed in 2008 and the oven stopped working at the end of 2009. The create date on the unit said December 2007 so it was less than 2 years old.

Died after one year of effortless operation...
This paragon performed as to be expected... it adequately heated items. After just over one year it rapidly suffered a short and started starting by itself. Additionally, the control pad stopped working. We in overcame the problem by leaving the unit unplugged until needed and it then only sometimes functioned. Perhaps the old adage is cure in you get what you pay for.

Pronounced mircrowave at a phenomenal price!
My 10 year old over the cook-stove Hotpoint microwave suddenly died. I needed a replacement. I came across this Magic Chef unit and couldn't credence in the price: A replacement for $150? I ordered the unit and didn't expect that much. What I got is a great working microwave with features I didn't have on my old element. It has more internal space and with he recessed turntable I can cook and defrost much large food items than before. The fan is darned effective although it's quite noise on full, but so it was on the old unit as well. I have noticed that some of the details like hinges and such seems a miniature bit more flimsy than on the old unit. We'll see as the years go by and this unit is used several times a day to feed my four kids if it holds up. But the first team a few of months has been a great experience, and I can replace this one twice without it costing more than some of the units I saw at the appliance supply.

Unusually short life span
We've had ours less than two years and it's already stopped working. Last ceaselessly it started smelling like plastic parts were burning when we were cooking in it. Before that it would turn off randomly. Power distribution was fine, it was the microwave itself. Called their customer service to find out what options existed and the rep I got (after 20 minutes and a transmission) was extremely rude, answered with a monotone and said there was nothing they could do. It literally felt like I was interrupting her from painting her nails or something, that same well-wishing of blase tone. The combination of the short life span of their product and their obvious deficiency of concern from their customer service guarantees I won't buy another Magic Chef product.

Ardent Microwave
I've had this microwave for a combine of years, now. It's powerful, reliable, attractive, and easy to clean. My favorite feature is that it's got an authentic door handle! I hate the push-button spring-latch doors on other microwaves - they exhibit out and break, and honestly? When it was time to replace my previous microwave, I specifically looked for one with a real entrance handle. This is an excellent product at an excellent price.

Not so full
Bought this at a nearby store for a little less than the Amazon price.
It heats food well, but also gets the plates hot, which my former microwave didn't. If the food needs a lot of heating, the plate will get uncomfortably hot.
It defrosts very poorly. It takes over twice as eat one's heart out to defrost a bagel compared to my previous Panasonic.

this is a 1.6 cubic foot microwave overn
I did not see it mentioned anywhere on this Amazon call out as to the capacity of this microwave oven. Did some checking, and found out that it is 1.6 cu.ft. That's a pretty darn good size microwave for this price.
Note: I do not own this microwave. I'm still shopping around.
Also, note that you might like to balk other on-line reviews of this and other Magic Chef microwaves... I've read some really negative reviews. But also some very sure ones. I guess it would be wise to make sure that whomever you buy it from has a good return protocol, just in case. Thanks for reading.

Stupendous BIG Microwave!
We needed to put in place of our SS Samsung microwave after 6 faithful years. Wanted a big SS micro without too many unnecessary buttons, this fit the bill! Bought at HD for 119.00 + tax which was a sick deal(about $7) than the $35.00 shipping charged by Amazon, plus we needed it now. This microwave is munificent, sturdy, and powerful. If you have children the pull handle in my opinion is better because you do not get little buy smudges. It has all the little things, add/deduct time, popcorn time, and defrost. You will not be saddened in this microwave.

It has the broiler Nautical fake on the top. I have contacted Magic Chef and they do not have a manual for this model. No one there could tell me how to use it. It is in a 1990 Holiday Rambler Motor Familiar with.
