very tranquil German product
We ordered this vacuum after seeing one a adherent had that impressed us with how very QUIET it was when operating. It is pricey, but is like a BMW of vacuums with high quality German engineering. You can almost have a discourse while vacuuming, it is that quiet. Previous other brands have been soooo noisy that one risked hearing enfeeblement if ear protection wasn't worn, this machine is a huge relief.

Renowned BUT
I can twig why people loves these machines. They are so quiet, and they are light. However, there are a couple of design flaws that bore down their usefulness, especially when you factor in the high price:
1) The SEB 213 powerbrush that comes with this dummy works awkwardly with carpets. We have a couple of short-piled ones, and it's a push to use the powerbrush. I can do it, but don't peculiarly like it. If we had high-pile carpets, I doubt we could use this vacuum.
2)Furthermore, this powerbrush is unreservedly difficult to remove and reassemble. The big problem lies in the connector cord that plugs into the handgrip.It's a struggle to get it out and even harder to get it back in. If you remove the head to suck up dirt along the edges, you have to go through this struggle a lot.
We have found that we no longer use the powerbrush at all. We straight use the "floorbrush" on both carpet and bare floors. While it is even a bit harder to use on our carpets than the powerbrush, the struggle to associate/detach the powerbrush makes it worthwhile to stick to the plain brush.
For anyone with a lot of carpets, this is not the vacuum to get. For someone like us with mostly distressing floors, I would NOT get this model. I think were I to do it all over again, I'd get the Miele model 4210 Carina which comes with a simpler surprise brush and save about $150. If you want HEPA filters, there's the 4210 Sirius for a bit more flush. Or look up Consumer Reports' recommended Sears model and get one of those.

Go through The Extra Money!
I've had my Miele vac for several years now and am almost unqualifiedly satisfied with it. Great power -- it really DOES clean very effectively, is much quieter than most vacuums, has able accessories, a very powerful powerhead for carpet cleaning, and it's easy to use. To top it all off, the Miele is downright tolerably!
The filters are great, it's much cleaner internally than most vacs, and the vacuum cleaner bags can be removed without spewing dust all around. Totally the only drawbacks I find with this cleaner are its lack of a power switch on the metal wand and awkward straight up storage. If you buy the next level up, I think even those flaws are absent, but I didn't have the money to buy the more expensive epitome at the time. Other than that, I would buy it again tomorrow. It's a terrific cleaner and a whole lot better than any other cleaner I've ever owned (that would be about ten different cleaners over the years). Well advantage the money.

Tolerable cleaner but fragile plastic parts.
The subtitle says it all. I've had this product for a couple of years and have had to get the plastic "neck" that attaches the wand to the baffle head twice already. However, it does very well on tough carpets (dark blue with white persian cat whisker!) and the mobility is terrific. Long hose, small low profile head, long line. Oh, the cord still pops out of the socket... but at least not as often!

I'm loving it!
Just now received the twist. It works great. It picks up the debris nicely and it works well as you go from bowl over to carpet. It's a little heavier than I expected and a little louder because of the powerful motor. I characterize as it's relatively quiet compared to the central vacuum I used in the past as well. I would recommend this vacuum to others. Concrete construction, easy to twist and get around all the furniture.

An uncorrupted review from a Grandmother:)
I good purchased the Miele Twist and I know how these reviews are important to me, so I hope that I can help someone esle who is all in all the Miele S7 series (any model).
I researched the motors as I was told by the salesperson that the "Twist" has a cheaper motor than the Salsa, etc. This is not dedicated. They all have the same motor - look at Miele's website. The $100 difference is the filter and headlight. You can get the better filter and put it in the Twist and have the same machine without the light.
I debated on purchasing off of the web, so I could save notes. In my research I found that Authorized Dealers DO NOT honor the warranty if purchased from the web!!! So buyer take heed. Upon purchasing and giving it a test run, when I went to use the hose attachment it came out of the machine before I could even inflate it to full length, which is really NOT very far, if you like to vac high places - forget it. The hose attachment is much like a dryer throw out.
Bottom line:
The Miele Twist is VERY easy to vac with and because it is on a petite side it can get to many little places and the swivel time to come is wonderful. It vacuums well, however, going over the same area with my old Riccar, I could hear it picking up debris that apparently the Miele missed. I conceive of this machine is good, however, I think there are others that might be better for the price. I rate it a 3 star.

Dignity through and through.
After having gone through an Oreck, a Hoover and a Dyson, I at the last moment have a vacuum cleaner that has quality construction and controls. I love the "twist" part, it makes getting into corners very flexible. The hose is very easy to use (especially in comparison to the Dyson).
I am a little old lady with a very bad back. I have no problem using my Miele. It does a skilled job on getting up pet hair and in this house a vacuum cleaner has to handle pet hair from two cats and two dogs. I literally enjoy vacuuming with my "Twist", my house has not been this clean in years.

Important product
So far so yard goods, its easy to push, not too heavy. Seems to do a great job on carpet and hardwood floors. I like the hose accessory and the ease of switching to that use. Also very happy how it was shipped and delivered within the week

Miele royal dispirited upright
I purchased this Miele from a native distributor a couple of weeks ago and love it. There are several options available for selection based on what you would like to unspoiled. It has a switch button for carpets, drapes, hardwood floors, etc. It pick ups very well. Prior to purchasing this Miele I consideration it was a chore to vacuum but now I use it nearly everyday!

Respected vacuum for the price
The only feeling I would say is very annoying about this vacuum is the fact that you have to shake the filter off after every time you use it. The filter makes a big make indistinct of dust. I wish I would have known this first.
It does have GREAT suction.

Terrific suction
I bought this vacuum at a satisfactory price and was very suprised the power it had in sucking up all the dirt from the carpet. I own a Kirby and this Dirt Cacodaemon works better than my Kirby and the price was right, thanks.

Wonderful little vacuum
I do like this vacuum a lot, we found it picked up a whole canister full of clay, pet hair, and etc. after we first got it and ran it over our floors. I appears to do a great job and for the money, can't beat it! I would recommend it to anyone wanting a authentic maching at a lower price.

Unspeakable piece of Junk!!!!
I unwilling this vacuum. I moved to the states from Germany where I had all wood floors so my swiffer was my best benefactor. Here my new house was totally carpeted. Needless to say I bought this vacuum thinking it was the best scanty product. I should have checked the reviews. I have allergies so emptying this thing is the worst; dust flies everywhere and you might as well buy a new cheesecloth everytime you empty the cup which is a beast to take off. On top of that I've had it for about 8 months and the mechanism that makes it stay upright has broken and it smells like something is violent when I run it for awhile. Sick of this vacuum and I'm going to get a new one. Please save yourself the trouble and don't buy this vacuum!

No Screws
Recvd the by-product in a timely matter. After a couple of days open up the box and discovered there were no screws. Called Obscenity Devil and was told the screws would be shipped, after a week still no screws. Called again and was told there was no accomplishment of my previous call requesting screws. So again I requested screws, by now it's week 2. I returned the vacuum cleaner. The screws showed up three weeks later. Don't remember if the vacuum cleaner worked or not. That's my only regret.

DO NOT Buying THIS FAULTY VACUUM
My daughter purchased this vacuum from Tellingly Depot in August, 2009 and used it three times before the roller brush stopped working. We took it back and Core Depot gave her a new one that did the same. Rather than take it back, I ordered a new brush roller belt from Hoover and installed it. The copse roller did not move with the new belt and we took the second one back for a refund.
I could not determine why such a nice machine had such a connivance flaw. It may have worked if I had sprayed "belt dressing" to give the groove/belt contact more of a tatty contact. If you are out of warranty and out of options, you may want to try a spray belt dressing to keep the belt from slipping.

I don't hear of....
.... all the adversary reviews on this vacuum. I've had it for 3 months and it's the best vacuum I've ever owned. I almost didn't purchase this archetype based on the negative comments but we've had good luck with Hoover products in the past and wanted something that would balm deal with Pet hair. The suction on this unit is great. The only negative I've found is the length of the hose, but we've au fait to live with that. I make sure that I set the dial for the correct carpet height and if I'm vacuuming knock down rugs or anything with fringe, I turn the beater bar off. I'd buy this vacuum again with no regrets.

Tangibles Vacuum - really helps with pet hair!
My baby bought me this vacuum for Christmas because I have a cat and was getting ready to move in with my boyfriend who is allergic to cats. This vacuum works terrific! I vacuum three times a week and use the pet attachment and I never see a cat hair in this place. My boyfriend's allergies have been giant! I did notice that if it is too full it will shut down. This is a precautionary measure so as long as you keep it emptied it will run fine! I empty it on the balcony and safe haven't found it to be particularly messy. It is quite heavy but that would be the only downfall that I see. I hope this review was helpful. I know the reviews here after my mother gave me this vacuum and was quite nervous about it. But as long as you take good direction of it, I think you'll be happy with it!

All-inclusive Wonderful
My cover up and I purchased this vacuum 2 weeks ago, and we LOVE it. Our dog is a heavy shedder, and it does a wonderful job picking up her tresses, plus everything else on the carpet. The bare floor option does a wonderful job as well, mainly because when the grove is not turning the vacuum doesn't just blow dirt/hair around the room. Also, this vacuum is astoundingly quiet. The only real complaint that I have about this vacuum is that I wish the hose was a little longer. I have seen where others have complained about the avoirdupois of the vacuum, which I do not think is all that bad (and I'm 7 months pregnant!) However, my suggestion for those people would be to adjust the con height setting. Also, I have found it is a little messy to empty the canister from the bottom, so I opt to dump the canister from the top.

Do NOT buy this vacuum
I have had this item in 4 times in 9 months to fix the agitator bar. Last time it broke after only 3 uses. I am so sick of this vacuum I am throwing it out. I notion I'd pop for a higher end brand when I bought Hoover but it turns out that Hoover is just a brand owned by Hong Kong based TTI Floorcare.
This vacuum is stained, steer clear of it. Amazon should just pull it. Anyone who rates it highly is either a Hoover staff member (they have marketing and finance offices in OH) or has just bought it and has not had their beater bar belt break.
