Description
This disengage-standing wine cellar is cooled by thermoelectric module system. It's capacity is 18 bottles (25fl.oz.). The wine vault has two zone sections for greater convenience. The upper zone will hold 6 bottles and the bring zone will hold 12 bottles. The upper zone will cool to 45°F - 54°Fand the crop zone to 54°F - 65°F with its easy control digital setting. The shelves are removeable for casually cleaning. The soft interior LED light brightens the dard interior making it enticing through the glass doors. The feet are adjustable for leveling.

Chattels design - reliabilty & customer serivce issues
I purchased it through [...] under Koolatron WC-18 name in Dec 2009. It appears to be explicitly the same model that is shown on this Amazon.com image. I really liked cabinet design and still of controls. Unit was fairly quiet - just slight whisper noise of cooling fans.
Section's upper zone stopped working two month after purchase - fan was running, but there was no cooling aim. It looked like the top thermo-elements have been defective. After reading warranty info ( I should had done it erstwhile to purchase - no excuses.) I found that Koolatron is only providing 90 days protection and does not refund shipping charges to Canada or another US site (approx $60 for UPS). I was told that if it fails again I would have to ship at my expense again (no refund even if they find that outcome was defective) and warranty would not be extended. I found that no local warranty repair service is available anywhere else in the power. Customer rep. would not let me to discuss my options with her manager and simply hang up on me after I started complaining.
I got very favourable that our local Sears store kindly agreed to take this unit back at full refund (including shipping)under their 90 life span return policy!

Cheap Piece of Junk
The first module I ordered was defective; the door hinge was bent and the doors did not seal. I decided to give it another hazard and requested a replacement. The second unit was defective as well; the screw holes to attach the entrance way handle were misaligned and the handle would not attach properly. I think it is safe to assume at this sense that there are serious quality control issues with this brand. This time I requested a refund. If the rating system authoritative me to give it zero stars I would.

What you should be sure before you buy!
I have the 16 pluck version of this, otherwise, its the same unit.
First of all, NONE of these are made for maturing your wine, they are only intended
for short term (not to exceed one year) storage.
They do not lend the constant temp and proper humidity needed to mature wine, so
if long term maturing of your high-priced wine collction is needed, you do not want to
buy one of these.
What you need in that case is a EuroCave, and they start at $2,000.00!
Also, dont surmise the temp in any of these "wine refrigerators" to be 55 if your room
temp is 80!! It is totally dependent of compartment temp. These units simply use the room air
and circulate it with fans, so the internal temp will vary with the room temp.
Even the few units on the market with built in compressors which will refrigerate even
if the room temp is 90, alternate by several degrees.
Proper wine maturing requires CONSTANT even temp (plus or minus a few degrees only) over
a very extended time period, several years!!
Also, NONE of these units are reliable, you will be very lucky to get 2 years of use out
of any brand of wine cooler. A $400.00 one is mutually unreliable as a $100.00 unit, they may
just throw in a few extra features and gadgets.
If you have an dear wine collection, you probably already know all this stuff, but if
you are just starting out, do not be impressed by the low prices of these coolers, ultimatly,
they will breakdown your wines over the long haul.
If you only want a place to store your wine temporarily before you drink it, one of these will
be marvellous, much better then a wire rack in your basement (oh, and NEVER store wine in your kitchen!!)
But if you are a serious wine collector, save your cabbage, bite the bullet, and buy a REAL wine
maturing and storage unit from EuroCave.
Remember, you get what you pay for!!

Offshoot and Shipping
While the offering seems decent, I had a terrible time with receiving it in one piece. The first shipment which came Settlings UPS resulted in a corner of the refrigerator cracked off of it. Apparently the folks who send it out are well opposed to actually wrapping it for shipment since it came in the box that you would find on the shelf in a store -- without any extra packing. I called Amazon and told them and they said they'd send out another one overnight (but I would need to send back the conditioned one, which I did). I asked them to take some care to pack the one they were overnighting and the agent send she would add it to her notes to the shippers. Low and note, the replacement fridge came overnighted free of charge, but again they did not back it for shipment. This time a substitute alternatively of having the corner cracked off, there was simply a hair-line crack on that same corner. It was spared because ostensibly overnight shipping requires less handling and bouncing around than Ground shipping.
Both models in injure of lack of care by the seller to pack it for cross country shipment worked when I plugged them in, but I will be peculiar for how long the wine refrigerator with the hairline crack will work since all of the jarring during shipment will surely have an effect on electronics. Unfortunately, since I had a custom build on my kitchen cabinets, I am stuck with this automobile and just holding my breath that it will continue to work for a long while.
I would advise anyone who is even remotely thoughtful to buy this machine to look elsewhere if you want to spend money and receive something in one piece. Right-minded a suggestion especially if you don't enjoy banging your head off the wall talking to attendants and re-wrapping returns.
I was totally inspired to write this review and hopefully spare someone a lot of trouble.

Peradventure it's for Chinese wine bottles?
It appears that Koolatron did not extent current wine bottles: Forget about putting Sylvaner, Gewuerztraminer, Pinot Gris, Rieslings from France into it (bottles are too wish); forget about Alban's (CA) Viognier etc. (bottle has too large a diameter); forget about some Loire Valley whites (again diameter). That's all I've tried before giving up.

I did not cognizant of until I got the Kooler that it only came with a 90 day warranty. I have contacted both Amazon and the manufacturer about this and have not received a reaction. I fully expected a year's guarantee.

Horrendous Wine Cooler
This is a Brobdingnagian size and runs quiet. It keeps the wine at perfect temperature. The inside light is not very smart and makes it hard to read the wine bottles so I have to turn on another light.

Nasty
I bought this to retrieve space in my kitchen. The wine cooler worked great for about a month and now the cooler has stopped cooling. The fan still goes but it doesnt travail. I would suggest spending some more money and get a good one.

OK, but not glaring
It serves its in particular, but I thought it would be better.
First off, the plastic looks and feels cheap; it scratches easily. Also, the sticker in the rule panel wasn't properly adhered, so I pulled it out a bit to strech it, and now it doesn't stick duly. The good thing about the unit being plastic, is that it's very light.
As for the cooling properties, the wine bottle next to the cooling declare, cools wonderfully; the one next to that one, is OK; the third one, not so much; and the bottle farthest to the vent doesen't cool at all. I always use the bottle next to the moffette, and then move the remaining a space closer to the vent, so they'll cool while we drink the one I took out.
It's not as quiet as advertised (it says "ultra noiselessness"). It's actually a little louder than my fridge; but it's not that bad. We have it the kitchen, next to the fridge, so it doesn't annoyance us too much.
I bought it because it's a real spacesaver. It can be mounted horizontally under cabinets, which is how we use it; and it can also be used freestandind vertically or horizontally.
I bought this cooler less than a month ago for $129.99, and now it's $89.98, so I dare say it's not selling all that well.

Young lady IT!
I bought this for my spouse, who loves red wine. This is the perfect size - not too big at all. Keeping 4 bottles cool is perfect for us. It keeps the wine at the unqualified temperature and we can always change it to "white wine" temperature if we want. I also love the blue lights contents, which you can't see in the photo...it's like a nightlight in our kitchen! I highly recommend this...

Don't ransack your money
I received as a Christmas alms. It is too bulky for the countertop unless placed at an angle. It is loud and is not powerful enough to chill six bottles of wine. It inexorably just quit working and after it leaked all over the place, I threw it in the garbage.

6 Manfulness Wine Cooler
I looked all over the Internet to find a wine cooler at a reasoned price,and Amazon was by far the best price I could find.
The product is ..Great.. Just what I was looking for. It does have a hardly any fan that runs all the time ,and makes a little noise , but it is not bad. It cools at the correct temperature, and I am very satisfied with the artefact.

Koolatron Doesn't Self-possessed
We received one for Christmas. We are bloodless wine and champagne drinkers. The product is tauted to cool to 44*F. Filled with 6 bottles of chaste and running all night, it could not cool below 57*, although set to lower temperature to 44*. This is useless for milk-white wine drinkers, perhaps o.k. for reds drinkers or English beers.
We got a replacement the next day. Set for 44*, it quickly lowered its temperature from 74* to 63*, then slowly lowered to 53*, at which sense it went no lower at all. This is useless for our purposes, or for any persons who enjoy white wines cooled. I highly recommend the traditional
method of an ice bucket over this product, and at prices as low as a pail with some ice and examination.
Looks great!! Product stinks.
